When we moved to Buffalo 6 years ago, Music with Miss Rivky was a perfect way for me to meet other Moms with little kids. My daughter and I loved the social interaction, the Jewish music and holiday theme program and of course the delicious snacks. When my son was born, he started music right away and “grew-up” at the music classes. Music with Miss Rivky is a wonderful program and a gem for the community!
A “Music with Rivky” class is the perfect place to take your toddler or preschooler when you’re considering an extra enrichment activity. Rivky uses familiar songs that teach important Jewish holiday components, and this is a completely interactive class where kids and parents participate in the themed lesson. As a mother of four, we have attended sessions throughout the years. These classes are not just about children’s music, Rivky offers so much more. Rivky is also the premiere connector of Jewish women in our area. Every class, she is the “hostess with the mostest”, introducing people to new faces and reconnecting them with familiar ones. She is genuine and warm, always remembering everyone’s names!Behind the music, there is challah baking, women’s events and extra holiday celebrations that extend far beyond this class. By joining “Music with Rivky”, you will see this is much more than “just a music class”. There is a whole community of people, places and family events to explore in Amherst, and Rivky knows them all.
Rivky is the most multi-talented lady in the way she can play a piano, sing, teach, talk, and manage a bunch of exuberant toddlers, all while smiling and yes … taking memorable pictures. Her camera is ever present.

At three months, three years, and even six years old, my sons have thoroughly enjoyed Rivky’s music classes. Rivky’s high-energy and enthusiasm encourages the children and parents to celebrate Jewish culture via song, rhythm and movement. Her inclusive style allows even the most timid child to engage with their friends and community in song and spirit! Short breaks and child friendly snacks ensure full participation and are a nice touch that is greatly appreciated by the parents. All around, Rivky’s music is a joy… Buffalo is lucky to have her amongst us and even luckier that she spreads her music throughout our community!
I first brought my son to Miss Rivky’s class when he was 9 months old and it was his first introduction to music and movement. Although I thought he was a little young at the time, he really seemed to enjoy it. Now that he is 3 years old, he enjoys it just as much if not more, as evidenced by him singing the songs he learned in class for days afterward. “Music with Rivky” is a unique musical experience and joyous celebration of music, learning and fun for kids of all ages.

Rivky’s music class is so much fun. I was singing the songs to my little one for a long time after class. It sure was a great way to help get me in the mood for the holiday, and I’m sure the kids felt the same way (mine is too little to fully understand yet). I really enjoyed the chance to meet other parents and to see some people I already knew. Rivky’s energy and enthusiasm is endless. I can’t wait to see my daughter enjoy the classes as she gets older… I know she will learn a lot and have fun at the same time!
Both my children were lucky enough to be in Ms. Rivky’s music class. My children looked forward to this activity when they were younger, and they still sing her songs 8 years later. Ms. Rivky’s love for her students, music and teaching was apparent every week.
Music with Rivky is awesome!! My son Tyler loved going to music class. I would highly recommend Music with Rivky. The classes are fit for all ages. The experience is wonderful. Fun, friendly and so comfortable. Mrs. Rivky is so great with engaging the kids in a very comfortable manner. Great props, instruments, upbeat music to sing along to and much more. What a great way to introduce your child to music. My son loved it and I know your child will TOO!
